As a fan i find it aggravating when Les resorts to untruths and tries to deflect questions.
But i can see that he does not owe an explanation to the fans.
But I am just curious if he has to answer to the AD or does he gets a free pass for this awesome season.

I have read about some of the rumors that have been discredited by some insiders and players. Will the AD do anything at all to find the truth and proceed on an executive action.

Not a chance in hell. He is working on his follow-up email about the 13-1 record to increase TAF fees to give him a raise.

Its hard to talk about accountability when you the coach wins 14 games and his conference exceeding expectations for the season.

I recall hearing a SECCG berth would be enough for Les to keep his job.

You make it sound like it was his intent to go out there and have an agenda to lose the game.

He and his staff didn't make enough adjustments. Period. They lost the game.

Criticism for how the team played in the game is certainly understandable but to get back to this "conspiracy theory" like there were other things planned, is ridiculous.

You win games, you lose games. And yes, I was right there with everyone, it's how we lost. I get that. Constantly bitching and stuff along those lines won't change anything once it's all settled down.

Time to move on. It's been near a week.

Yea, without a doubt.

I would hope not. I don't give a shite what others think. We are a passionate group and I hope that never changes.

It should be National Championship or bust from here on out in the Miles era. That's a good thing though. That means we have some of the best in the business and that should make us happy as fans.

Are you really a football fan or an investigative reporter? If Miles ever tries to explain anything to people like you, he loses my respect immediately.

bullshite he doesn't owe fans an explanation!!!! He damn sure does! We support that team through thick and thin. I don't care about a loss to a very good Alabama team. What I do care about is how in the hell he let anything get in the way of an honest all out effort! Thousands of fans spent thousands of dollars and traveled from all around the world to be at that game; and that's what we got? Not to mention the players who put their trust in that staff and shaped their football careers to attend a superior program like LSU. He owes everyone some sort of explanation. If Les was the play caller and not the OC, he clearly just might be the all time worst coach in the history of the game. Like I said, I'm fine with losing a football game. I support the Saints in the same passionate way. The Sunday playoff loss was a great example of a team that lost a great football game while playing their arse off. They made some mistakes but who cares, they tried like hell to win that game, as one team, one unit with one goal. Monday's NC game was a mockery of everything the game of football stands for. Until Les gives a true explanation of what happend

Wtf is he supposed to tell him?

"Hey Joe, I know you don't know shite about football but I'm sorry for going 13-1 and making it to the national championship. I'm really sorry about making all of this money for the program. Will you forgive me?"

I would LOVE to see a coach fired or punished in any way after a 13-1 season, conference title and BCSNCG appearance. Then I'd love to see a respectable coach take that job.

You didn't think very much before starting this thread huh?

We were 13-1, SEC Champs., Had a dominationg season and beat Bama in Bama. While the NC was a disappointment, It certainly does not negate the excellent season that preceded it. Nor does it tarnish CLM has done while at LSU.

He will be held "accountable" for not winning the NC game by not receiving the additional bonus he would have earned if we had won it.

He doesn't get a "pass" for this season because he doesn't need one. That's because it was, as you said, an awesome season. 13-1, SEC title and a #2 finish nationally is not a season that any coach needs a "pass" for.

I doubt Alleva will try to micromanage to such a detailed extent. He will look at the season's results and the general state of the program, be thankful that both are as good as they are, and then probably ask Miles how much of a raise and extension he wants. Or at least that's what he should do.
