Look up the pass defense rankings for Ole Miss and A&M. Alabama 2010 and BAMA-01-2011 are two anomolies, which fed the false hope.

The problem with JJ is his "gimmick" (or whatever you want to call it) plays never worked well for sustained drives. They were usually good for moving the ball between the 30s or picking up a a quick first down or punching it in at the goal line.

Lee was so much better as an offense that could drive the length of field. I always thought JJ was better in the role he played mid-season. But even then I didn't like JJ getting how own series - it worked best when they played the same series.
