That article just pisses me off...
I try not to dwell on the fact that Miles allowed his favoritism for one player to supercede the rest of the players for LSU...and get us blown out of the BCS game. BLOWN OUT.
I am not saying LSU wins that rematch, but I think we would have been competitive.

You cannot argue with this logic. We all knew deep down that our emperor was naked anyhow. What really baffles my mind though that a program like LSU cannot get someone that really understands how to run a offense. Are they really that hard to hire, or does our emperor think that he is really a offensive mind.

To my lights, it's hard to argue with this summary of the January 9th debacle.
It's hard to argue that 20-20 hindsight is easy. It's easy to be a Monday morning QB. It's easy to criticize others after a failure. Miles will do his post-mortem and learn from it.
You're a loser with no life. Get one.

The article states that some players and assistant coaches thought Lee should stay on as the starter. Everything else I see says that's not true.
I'm ready to move on and hope Miles learned from his terrible mishandling of the situation, but I have to admit that that makes me wonder!

Miles mishandled LSU's 'two-QB system'
Posted on 1/15/12 at 9:23 am to Dalosaqy
This article states what half of the fanbase has been saying since JJ came back.. We all know Lee should have been given more snaps and wasnt. The only thing everybody wants to know is why he wasn't but I'm 100% sure we never will. Les will never admit to his error.. I never saw it coming will be closest thing we get to an explanation..

This quote is the money shot:
And that's the part that had me scratching my head. I agree about asking why he gave up on using the 2 qb system.
It's not about bashing Miles. But I believe not a soul on this planet does things perfectly 100% of the time. We go through periods of growth which usually come best from catastrophic events. And sometimes when said catastrophic events happen, we completely overlook those and call it "bad luck". This has been a flaw with Miles since he's been here, and I hope this is the one time he's stops calling it bad luck and takes a good look at it to learn from it.

I cannot stand GG. Even still, every one of his opinion pieces on the QB situation this year has been money. I hate giving that douche credit, but he deserves it. Nailed.

Can't argue with anything there.

This line said it all for me:
"Lee finished with the No. 1 passing efficiency rating in the SEC at 152 and has been invited to two All-Star games. Jefferson finished with a 138.7 rating and will not play in the NFL unless Miles becomes an NFL coach."

Les is a liar, and I hope GG doesn't let up on him.
I don't like the whole "who was a slightly better QB" through comparison of stats angle though. The real key is that Miles changed THE ENTIRE OFFENSE into some retarded version of Oklahoma & Nebraska from the 1980s to build around the strengths of a single player that everyone knew was not very good. Regardless of how good you think Lee was, LSU should have been running the type of offense it had when Lee was in the game--i.e., the same kind of offense that it could have run with Mettenberger.
If you are really in love with JJ and want to do a few drives a game with his options skills, fine, but I think everyone with even a shred of football knowledge realizes that such an offense should not be the MAIN offense for a team at an elite level. Why? Because against great defenses, it will get absolutely stuffed, and you need to work consistently at the pro-style passing game to get good at it.
Miles lied to the fanbase continuously for 3 consecutive years, and he did so because he felt morally superior to us, such that he wanted to spit in our eye and rub in the fact that he could play JJ no matter what. He put his own ego trip before the team and the program, and that is what is so unforgivable.
It's a black mark that will never go away until he gives a full apology, which he never will, so it will never go away.

That article is spot on. Miles is the most hard headed fricker on the planet.

LSU had quick starts that led to dominating victories in the first eight games under Lee, who threw 10 of his 14 touchdowns in first halves. Jefferson threw two touchdowns in his five first halves and led LSU to one first down in its last two first halves. Lee threw 14 touchdowns on the season. Jefferson threw six and had only 13 over his last two seasons.

Can you imagine the combination of void, contradiction and chaos ongoing in that head?

He uses Miles owns words against him. He was dead on. Miles was only worried about having a 2 QB system while Lee was the starter. Once JJ started it was all over. To use Miles favorite quote order was restored. My favorite part of the article was when he wrote the only way Jefferson plays in the NFL was if Miles becomes an NFL coach.

This article reeks of the truth. Even Ray Charles can see it.

Even the staunchest Jefferson supporter would have to agree that even if Jefferson was the better quarterback, he was not much better than Lee. And even the staunchest Lee supporter would have to agree that even if Lee was the better quarterback, he was not much better than Jefferson.
