I'm taking a poll: what would you rather?

In lieu of the Saints and LSU games, I'm interested in the following poll:
Would you rather your team make it to the championship game and lose or not make it there at all?
So is it better the Saints lost to the 49'ers vs making it to the Super Bowl and losing to say the Patriots? or would you rather the latter?
Knowing the Tigers lost to Bama, would you rather they had just lost the first game against Bama and not been in the championship?
I'm asking strictly from a standard fans perspective. From my standpoint, I'd rather my team lose prior to the championship/super bowl. If you get there, you better win....else I'm more disappointed than ever.

playing and losing in the championship is one thing...getting thoroughly embarrassed and physically and mentally dominated is another.

Losing the championship game is one thing, I could get over that pretty quickly.
