I asked the same thin earlier in the year and got trashed. I wouldn't blame him if he signed with another team that has a good defense. For the most part, he carried this team the entire year. When the offense slipped, the defense couldn't hold up their end of the bargain when needed most.

I am not saying it as a response to this loss. I am going more at the disrespect angle of the franchise not taking care of business and extending him earlier.
