There's no arguing with The Simpsons, but Challenge of the Superfriends was my favorite.

don't know about a series but Looney Toons has to be one of the best cartoons ever. You just don't see cartoons like that anymore.

I loved watching it when I was a kid.

I think plenty of people would disagree that he isn't a good character.

Goku was sent to earth to destroy it, but he was raised well.

Goku has never had a mean bone in his body or been convinced to do something evil. He has always stood for fairness and redemption. He also practices forgiveness. Many of Goku's closest friends were once his competition. That says a lot about a man's character.

shite man. That ending is a big wtf

The series you mean?

Yeah, but the ending to Death & Rebirth was really fricked up also. Plenty of animes go off the deep end towards the end; and if you're going into one knowing it's going to end with the literal end of days, well...

Southpark and it's not close in my mind. There are some truly brilliant episodes in this series.

Futurama is 2nd for me personally, but I understand if some disagree. I just like the range, Jurassic Bark, The Late Phillip J. Fry, the episode about Fry's brother (the name escapes me right now), the episode with Leela and the 'space honey' - the humor is great, but they can occasionally touch on some emotionally stirring themes.

I loved DBZ growing up. Vegeta is such a great character - I'm curious to see how it holds up now that I'm older.

King of the Hill gets better the older I get.

Family Guy was innovative in its random ridiculousness, and I'll always appreciate it for that. There have been some serious "laugh out loud" moments in that series, even if it has gotten a bit sour. (Keep your bullshite out of the art, Seth.)

Yea a lot of the classic cartoons need their credit. Simpsons are def top of that list. Followed by a close Family Guy and American Dad.

But come on now a days anime is where it is at for action.

I liked Death Note and yes the ending was a HUGE WTF. What about Naruto?

You speak as if animation is just for kids and adolescence...

As previously stated, South Park isn't a cartoon for kids and through it's medium of seeing current events and hot-topics through the eyes of kids is brillant year after year.

Gi joe. The PSA 's at The end of each episode I still remember. They talked about all kinds of educational stuff to boot. They even had an episode with a merry christmas banner in it and wished everyone a merry christmas at the end. Each character with his/her unique background and skill set. Awesome code names. What else could you want? I will admit the sgt slaughter days were pathetic.

Honorable mention goes to mobile suit gundam and gundam wing

Goku isn't the best character on the show. It's Vegeta. They did a damn good job of developing that character relative to other anime/cartoons.
