So if I disagree with you, that must mean my opinion is completely unfounded and uninformed. It couldn't possibly be that two reasonable, rational minds could consider the same facts and reach different conclusions. Anyway, since this is how we're doing this, my point by point response:
quote:

That's because you know nothing about their recruits and you have no way of knowing if either of those qbs will work out to begin with.
I'm not talking about their recruits. I'm talking about the two guys they have right nowthat can't distance themselves from each other's mediocrity. I have confidence that at least Mett will work out. More confidence than I have in either of their guys, anyway.
quote:

Because you are a homer.
Because I watched us play, watched them play, and know what we both have coming back and coming in.
quote:

no we don't
Yes we do (Ware, Ford, Blue, Hilliard). I said "good." They are all at least "good."
quote:

Then you are stupid and have not watched any film.
Watched a good bit of film of both. Both are beasts. Gray is just not THAT much better.
quote:

Exactly. Major offensive recruits would be out of their minds coming here.
I guess Mett, Randall, Gunner, Jarvis, Beckham, La'el, Kenny, Hill, Avery, etc. are all out of their minds.
quote:

Credibility = blown
Because I'm not impressed that he simply took over Peterson's system at Boise, then had a decidedly mediocre year when he finally started playing legitimate defenses and had to figure it out on his own?

The Texas argument is a losing one. Ash-meh. McCoy-already threatened to transfer and meh. Brewer-soft arm. Their own homers will tell you the coaching staff has no faith in their qbs currently or Brewer the recruit. They were entertaing a JC qb up until last week because of that lack of confidence.

I'll give you Malcolm Brown because he's a stud. Bergeron is a good, solid back but we have 4 minimum that are more talented. Gray is a stud but has carried the ball a ton in hs on a solid but not big frame and already has knee issues. He specifically chose Texas because he could share carries. Not exactly the thinking of a star though he is immensely talented. The argument against our 5 current rbs plus Hill coming in is ridiculous. What happened at Texas this year? Brown and Bergeron(along with Whitaker) got hurt and they couldn't run the ball. Add to that Gray's recurring knee soreness and you have a recipe for disaster. They have a couple of elite talents at rb but LSU has 5 or 6 that can all carry the load and be just as effective. There are only so many carries in a game. Does it matter how many backs get those carries or the pure talent if they produce the same?

Texas has complete shite at wr. Their best wr is Jaxon Shipley who is talented and will be very good if they can get him the ball. Mike Davis has already been surrounded by rumors of transfering and had a bad year this year. The 5* wr they had just transfered to Missouri and did nothing at Texas(Darius White). They have Caleyb Jones and Marcus Johnson coming in as sure wrs. The others are athletes that are better db prospects but want to play wr and are being given the chance. They just lost their best wr commit in Thomas Johnson.

Texas has no TEs to speak of.

Their OL was solid and has talent but has severely underachieved.

Texas' own insiders point blank will tell you that while confident with DGB, the offense does scare him and may be the reason he decides on Arkansas.

Sounds like a lot of promise and hope doesn't it. We averaged 40 a game and ran down people's throats all year with extremely lowl level qbs. Mettenberger and Kiel are significant upgrades in talent alone and both have been lauded for their mental ability to play the position. Granted neither offense is exactly a selling point to wrs at this point but any argument for Texas' offense over ours is ridiculous. We would shut them down and it wouldn't be that difficult. We'd eventually run through them on offense. Aside from Bama's defense we did pretty much what we wanted to this year.
