I keep saying this, and the puffjob guys keep ignoring it.

Do you know what the Buffalo Bills' record was from 1990-1993? No, you don't. All you remember is that they got skullfricked in Superbowls.

Long term, Monday night is all that will be remembered about this season. 13-0 is over.

I've stated this before and I'll say it again on this post..LSU beat the winners of the Music City Bowl, Chick Fil A Bowl, Gator Bowl, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Cotton Bowl and the National Champions, THEN went on to win the SEC.

people need to get a grip

Disagree. If something is not working in a game, u adjust... Miles didn't do that.

This was our year!

This was not our year as far as being the most experienced team. It was just an early opportunity to do something special. There are sophomores and freshmen spread all across the defense and in the offensive backfield as running backs who will be Juniors and sophomores next year.

The glaring weakness we always had was at QB with both of these guys JJ/JL. JL started as a redshirt freshman and JJ as a true freshman. Neither had any time to really learn the offense without pressure too early because RP got kicked off the team. Much like we had to rebuild the defense, we are finally now rebuilding the QB position. Hopefully we'll see the type of play we've seen from McCarron in his 3rd year at Alabama (Mettenberger did get experience at JUCO). But leave no doubt, next year and the following year before this season even began was supposed to be our window. When the majority of the team are upper-classmen, IMO. We're right where Alabama was in 2008, except we actually won the SEC Championship game.

Spoiled? We did so much this year! This was our
quote:

year! Is it wrong that after the victories to end the season that we expected the Crystal? We deserved a much better performance from the "#1" team in the country. With that much time to prepare, there was a lack of discipline and much planning on our part. We have a right to complain. I legitimately feel like Les gave up and for a coach in the NC, that's unacceptable. This embarrassment is stuck with us forever.

So, the way I see it you got two choices: go find you another team who can give you what you deserve, or be an LSU fan, even when they do play like crap! We have a team and a coaching staff that won the toughest division in the toughest conference in college football, all without a frickin SEC-caliber QB and a makeshift OC! I was as pissed and anyone over the lack of execution and a proper offensive plan, but when I heard the Mett interview in the locker room during the postgame show, I immediately felt a whole lot better! We got a lot to look forward to as Tiger fans! Time will ease this pain, I promise you that!

The bottom line is that Jefferson and Lee were not good QBs. They never were and we were lucky to to do well as we did with them. On top of that we had Crowton for four years. I like Miles and always have. We have bitch about him but everyone seems to forget the 90's.

All the people talking about being embarrassed of the fans reacting after that game need to quit trying to act like they are on such a high horse. Now I do not condone threating a player/coach or his family because that is just uncivilized. No one with any sense would actually fire a Coach with Miles's track record and everyone knows that but are just blowing off steam. Sports fans have every right to blow off steam without causing harm and physical damage. It is part of being a fan and all true fans do it, especially after a showing that the coaching staff that many of us help pay ridiculous amounts of money to fight and claw for victory did not only come up with a horrid game plan but gave the perception that they did not feel the need to throw the kitchen sink in an attempt try and do something about it afterward.

I'll relax when the Les Miles era is over. Of course, I realize that's going to last for a long time. I'm not one of these that's going to call for the guy's job.

This won't go over well with the rantards.

Hold your heads up, guys. LSU WILL be a factor for next year's BCSNC race and just finished a hell of a season this year.

Seeing and hearing the manner in which the faction of our fanbase with a loser mentality has reacted is much worse than the actual loss.

Honestly (and many might not agree) but I feel like LSU was a year ahead of schedule with our BCS appearance.

This is it exactly. I'm pissed about the egg Miles laid Monday night, and the flat out whipping we took. But no LSU fan in their right mind would have told you when LSU took the field against Oregon after all that went down leading up to it that LSU would have the greatest season in its history & make it to New Orleans. Miles deserves the criticism for Monday night, but he also deserves the praise for coaching a hell of a season. The fact that we had the run we did with weak QB play (from BOTH of them) is remarkable. Saban figured out how to exploit that weakness and the gameplan seemed to help him. Bottom line: LSU isn't going anywhere.

But it is remarkable to see that famous "catastrophe syndrome" Nick always said LSU fans have is still around.

I think with the benefit of hindsight we can look back and see that we never truly had a legitimate QB who could beat an elite defense. Any other year, we win the national championship, you guys just happened to be built to stop us.

Agreed. BTW, this forum in no way represents what the majority of Tiger fans think. I will say that those who are upset about Monday night, in particular that Lee was not given a chance to play after he essentially salvaged LSU's season, have a very valid case. One last observation; what did LSU do the last time 'Bama shut them out? Went out and won the NC the following season. All is good once the nuclear BCS winter is over.

You guys are over reacting. LSU just went 13-1 and had one hell of a season. There are many teams that would give anything to be in the spot LSU was in. Things will pick up and get better.

Look at us for example. Alabama has a pretty recent loss to LA Tech and also a shitty loss to Utah in the Sugar Bowl. These all suck worse than a loss to the Number 2 team in the BCSNC.

These coaches are all human. They make mistakes. It's easy for us all to second guess them when we arent all under the same pressure they are under.

Thanks, I'm with you on most of what you wrote. The only thing I'm concerned about is some players turning on Miles for appearing to stand pat in the second half of the game and not pull out all the stops to get back in the contest. From other posts I've read, it sounds like there was a group of players who expressed their frustration to Miles—I sure can't blame them, 99% of the fans felt the same way. But if these players around around next year, they'll have to write off this bad experience, get back on the Les/LSU bus and try to get back in the NC hunt next season. We're good enough to make another run, but if there's a lot of internal dissent we got a problem.

This is my biggest and really my only fear as far as long term repercussions....will there be dissention among the players over the ending of this season. with shep's tweets and all....i hope it's just frustration in the moment and the guys come back for a shot at redemption next fall.

Every Lsu fan who is passionate about their team and spent the kind of money we did should be pissed. If you say in your livIg room and didn't make it out to many games this year you don't have a reason to be pissed but if you live in a place where bama fans are as numerous as roaches and you have to listen to this bullshite all year you should be pissed. If you used vacation days to pay 1,200 for nosebleed seats and $400 a night for a lousy hotel room with a 4 night minimum You should me pissed. That game was a goddam disgrace and a slap in the face to people who are passionate about Lsu football. I have no problem loosing to a better team but to get humiliated in our own state in front of the entire nation is unacceptable. It clearly showed who is the better team better coaching staff. Our players weren't prepared and played without passion, the same way they were coached!

This times 1000. I'm so sick of all this fans who keep saying "YAY we just got completely embarrassed on national TV in the biggest game of the year with a coach who looked like he's been twiddling his thumbs for 37 days and showed absolutely no heart, but hey at least we'll go down in history as the greatest team to shite the bed. "

Holy shite. If you don't think people who spend thousands of dollars a year, countless hours of their valuable time and put their heart & soul into making sure LSU is one of the greatest programs in history have no right to bitch then maybe you should just shut up.
