What is harder to win. A National Championship or a superbowl?

It sucks that the Tigers lost. But for some reason losing last night seemed like it would hurt more than the Saints losing on Saturday. Also I have been a Saints fan longer.

If you're not in the SEC you have no control whether you will even get an opportunity to win a MNC

It depends on the school since college football has no revenue sharing or a playoff. It's easier for any pro team to win the Super Bowl than it is for ULL to win the national championship but it's easier for LSU to win the national championship than it is for any pro team to win the Super Bowl.

Anybody can play their way into the Super Bowl...even with losses.
Not everyone can play their way into the BCS Title Game...even with no losses.
There were some great teams this last decade that didn't get a shot because of their record or perception or when they lost or who they lost to.
It takes luck, being really good and politicking. Look at 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, this year...Bama goes from some swing votes picking them over OSU to being an also-ran to now being talked about one of the greatest D's ever. Winning the crystal ball takes magic on your side.
