Saw this on another forum. The guy didn't have a link. I hope it's true:

Miles 18-3 with extra time to prepare. Saban is toast.

That includes wins over Oregon and Alabama this year with at least two weeks to get ready. Saban is 3-3 after a bye week, 13-11 in his career with extra time to prepare and 6-6 in his career in bowl games.

Is this true? Extra time includes season openers, bye weeks, and bowl games. Someone verify about Saban.

People like to give Saban the benefit of the doubt and discredit miles because of their personality, but when you look at their RECORDS, MILES is the true mastermind.

It's really not close when you actually look at their bowl, bye-week history.

Maybe after another Miles over Saban victory, everyone will be forced to take a deeper look at who's really the best coach in college football!

"It's almost unfair to give Saban so much time to prepare."

I don't know about the numbers, but I noticed when Saban was at LSU the team didn't play well after a bye.

Miles is so good he made Bama beat themselves.

Well, for Miles at LSU, he has losses against UT after Katrina.

2005:
@ASU - Win
UTk - Loss (after 2nd hurricane in 3 weeks)
Miami - Win

2006:
ULL - Win
@UTk - Win
ND - Win

2007:
@MSU - Win
@Bama - Win
tOSU - Win

2008:
Appy State - Win
N Texas - Win (due to a hurricane delay of Troy Game)
GT - Win

2009:
@UW - Win
Auburn - Win
PSU - Loss

2010:
UNC - Win
Bama - Win
TAMU - Win

2011:
Oregon - Win
Bama - Win

So at LSU, Miles has only lost with more than 10 days to prepare twice and they were off ridiculous circumstances in each case. After Katrina/Rita in 2005 and in the abomination of a field in the Cap 1 Bowl.

18-2 in his last 20.

One other note. Saban has only beaten LSU when LSU did not have a bye week going into the game. In both 2008 and 2009 LSU went into the game without a bye week and in one of those years Saban had a bye week.

What's the difference between a bye week and extra time to prepare?

That statement above doesn't make sense. I'm just going to guess but I would have thought he went to more than 12 bowls. Dunno for sure. He's been to 5 at Bama. How many at LSU, then MSU...
