....what do they do next? The JJ trade was dumb as any trade in recent NFL history robbing them of draft picks to reload. Matt Ryan will never be an elite QB. They will be one and done in the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years. Get rid of Mike Smith?

I think we will find out today whether or not the trade was dumb. Falcons drafted him to put them over the edge in the playoffs.

Anything short of Calvin Johnson 2.0 makes that a dumb trade for what they gave up for a WR.

Go into free-agency and grab some defensive studs to help out. The offense is pretty much as set as it'll be. I just don't understand why they're putting all these weapons around Matt Ryan. He's oblivious to using all of them.

Pretty funny coming from a saints fan and their lack of successful playoff history save one season. Considering some teams are running in the playoffs with rookies and Tim tebow, the falcons qb situation is fine. The falcons are not a storied program and the success over the last few years is about what they expect. They aren't that far away from a championship team.

They had a bye in the playoffs just last year. 4 straight winning seasons (something the saints have never done). Of all the teams they need to be worried about their direction, falcons are not one of them.

Trade their next 15 first round picks for a third receiver.

They need significant upgrades on the OL. They are going to have to replace Gonzo soon. They are pretty porous in the secondary. Turner is breaking down.

I'm not saying they're about to be a dumpster fire, but I also don't think it's a stretch to say this is a pivotal year for their future.

I'll repeat...giving up so much for a WR was so fricking stupid. JJ has been good for ATL but nowhere near what they gave up for him. 0 points on offense so far for ATL. Maybe they can get a pack of magic beans for Matty Ice.

Trade a bunch of picks for a WR
Facing the 27th ranked defense in the NFL
and you put up TWO fricking points?

TWO?
