The only way I would keep a lab inside is if I had it kennel trained and were still able to take it outside quite often.
I have one that stays outside and it is the biggest, slobberin'est, clumsy, rolling in cow shite, tearing everything up, messy water drinking, stinking bruiser. I couldn't imagine keeping him inside.

mine has not chewed anything but her toys. just gotta stay on em, dont leave stuff laying around. if you put out the effort, a lab in the house is fine. maybe mine is just different than most, but she is great inside.
