For those who are familiar with both talents, how do you compare these two and speaking merely from a talent perspective if we are only going get one, which one do think will be the best player for LSU?

Note: Rivals has Borque as 'athlete' not as RB.

Last year with hill i could never really gauge if he was a good running back because of skill,or he was a good running back because he was running behind La'El Collins. But he had some nice offers.
And with Davante i think he is the best pure athlete we have in the class. I dont like him being at Wr,because he has never played it before and he would have to take alot of time to learn the position like RS10. Davante should stay at running back if he stays a Tiger!

Hill, and he has something to prove. As talented as Bourque is he must be afraid to compete.

I guess I was just wondering since Hill is an obvious running back and Bouque is more the athlete type that can play in more rolls, why he would think that Hill is competition. Seems like he would be more the RussellShepard type or Beckham etc. I think I remember Christine Michael RB at TAM saying that he was going to A&M because LSU was just too intense. We haven't missed him.

Hill is a freakish rb. Hill is a big rb. Hill is faster than Hilliard. Hill is a Miles back.

Bourque is really good too. I'd take Hill easy if I had to choose.

I think Bourque would make an outstanding SS/LB, if it doesn't work out for him at RB. You can't teach height and you can only marginally improve speed at this level.

I watched Hill a good bit last year and I will say he looked really good, although his offensive line was really good too.
I haven't seen as much of Borque, but he looks really good too. If I had to make comparisons, I'd say
Hill = S. Ridley
Borque = More talented A. Blue

Has anyone even mentioned or considered that Borque might be a good Safety replacement for Collins if we happen to miss out on him.

He seems to have great size and speed. Did he play any D in high school?

I'd love to have another Laron Landry type of Safety

Well considering La'El took on 2-3 guys at times,it wouldnt be hard to find a gap in a defense every once in a while?

I said SS/LB in this thread - not sure how much weight I have with the Bourque family or Chavis, though.

seems like a good call to me. It might not yet be a given that Collins is headed elsewhere, but if he is, Borque is a talented athlete who might be able to provide exactly what we need at the Safety position.

Of course, if he's dead set on RB, then that option isn't very helpful, but who WOULDN'T want to play on LSU's defense???

The thing with Hill, he hasn't seen a football game in 18-19 months by the time LSU takes the field for 2012. Looks like a redshirt year, which isn't bad at all imo. Bourque could see the field in 2012 if he's that electric. That is the immediate difference imo. What I don't get, Bourque is concerned about Hill, but he has 5 RBs on the roster right now that will affect him more than Hill.

BOURQUE ISN'T SCARED TO COMPETE AGAINST ANY PLAYER. BOURQUE HAS HIS REASONS FOR LOOKING ELSEWHERE AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY PLAYERS.
