I just thought this would be a good topic, esp for those newer fans who prolly could not grasp where this program was not long ago.
Yeah I got into a huge argument with an OU fan recently who accused me of being a bandwagon LSU fan since I didn't graduate from LSU. I informed him that when I unwaveringly began to pull for LSU in the mid-90's, a 7-4-1 season with a trip to the Indy Bowl felt like the greatest accomplishment ever

and the next year, LSU played Clemson in the Peach Bowl. We thought we were on our way then..........

Yeah okietiger, it's tough being a Tiger in Oklahoma. Someone recently stole my LSU flag out of my yard--the day after the BCS announcement.
The 1995 Indy Bowl was my first LSU game. I was 13. My grandparents were season tickets and promised to take me when I got older, and so I had waited 13 years for that game. I still remember how electric the crowd was, freezing my tail off, the tailgating at the fairgrounds in Shreveport... One of my fondest childhood memories.
