This....and I (everybody) was VERY DRUNK!!!!
I just thought this would be a good topic, esp for those newer fans who prolly could not grasp where this program was not long ago.
Dinardo convincing Faulk to come to LSU was HUGE!! It started the best state players staying home again.

Outstanding topic. It's makes recent history all the more enjoyable for those of us old enough to have endured the dark days.

Dinardo had seen first hand when he played at ND, what an awesome place Tiger Stadium could be. His statement about the "magic", touched a lot of people, including recruits.
and I thought that all you could do is cook...

Yeah I got into a huge argument with an OU fan recently who accused me of being a bandwagon LSU fan since I didn't graduate from LSU. I informed him that when I unwaveringly began to pull for LSU in the mid-90's, a 7-4-1 season with a trip to the Indy Bowl felt like the greatest accomplishment ever

This!! To me that season of '95 was the foundation for the current state of the LSU program. People rag Dinardo, but I will always be grateful to him for turning around football at LSU after the Hallman disaster.
