Cleaning your Deer Rifle

Do ya'll clean your rifle during the season? I would think the deers could smell the solvent and stuff.

I clean it after every weekend. Wipe it down with rem oil. End of season I do a much more in depth clean job

Why would a deer associate solvent with a human? Worry about body odor.

Before season and after season. Nothing in between. Rifle still looks good. *Note it stays in a hard case in truck, and in a case on the bike. Only time it's out is pretty much in the stand. No real need to clean it more.

I clean mine every time it gets wet (almost every hunt) and at the end of the weekend if it manages to stay dry.
