Per the NCAA official SOS rankings:

SOS based on entire schedule (including bowl game): #1 LSU, #9 Alabama

SOS based on schedule up to this point (not including bowl game): #1 LSU, #26 Alabama

(not sure if this has been posted yet or not, but regardless it's worth posting again)

Bama got counted twice. This seems unfair. I don't even count them at all.

The SOS value that counts (and this doesn't apparently count FCS teams) is going into the bowl games.

LSU is #1 at 63.9%

Bama is #26 at 56.3%

OSU was #10 at 58.7%, yet Bama is better.

The difference between #1 and #2 is the same as the difference between #2 and #15.

Wow.

Bama was using SOS based on the rankings at the time the game was played.

Hopefully this isn't built under the same logic.

Based on this Oklahoma State should be in the NC game.

Past opposition 78-44
Future opposition 10-1
Cumulative opposition 88-44

Something doesn't add up

Perhaps they don't feel right counting Bama's loss.

Cumulative record, while indicative of opponent's success, is not the best way to determine SOS. I believe LSU played the toughest schedule in the nation but that conclusion is not based upon cumulative record.
