Yeah, because ALL CFB programs should have LSU's expectations.

Look man nothing against ULL, congratz on yalls first bowl in a long time. It truly is a big accomplishment.

But to insinuate that this is the start of something that could possibly constitute the Cajuns ever becoming a big time football program is just setting the fans up for a let down.

You guys have a decent mid-tier 1-a football program. Enjoy it.

I hear ya. But like another poster said, you've gotta start somewhere.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting us to be the next Boise State or anything, but if we could just reverse the losing culture around here, then I'll be happy.

it think UL could make some progress and sustain it. Tulane had some success in the 90's but failed, and i think La Tech has seen its time and it has passed.

Louisiana is THE high school football state (per capita) and i think it can feed 2 programs. I think Lafayette has the population base to eventually garner attendance, and enough money in the community to fund the rise to prominence. and God knows that there are enough die hard cajun fans and alums in the area.

and look, im an LSU guy, i went to school there during the Saban years. i just think that louisiana can be a two football program state and out of all the other schools in the state, currently UL has the best chance to join them.
