Gathers at the Palm Classic

Riverside is playing at one of the top high school tournaments in the country this weekend. Looks like he had a good start. He is playing one of the top teams in the country tonight.

And it seems like Duke has popped up on his list along with NC State. Obviously LSU is getting interest as the local school, Tweety went to Baylor, and he was previously committed to St. John's. I wonder if he is just tossing in Duke as a finalist right now for the increased publicity. Still seems to be LSU's to lose at this point, right?

In a 80-73 double-overtime winning effort Friday night, Gathers pounded home a game-high 26 points on 10-of-23 shooting, 1-of-2 from three, and 5-of-6 from the line. He also had 11 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, three steals and five turnovers.
