Would you be in favor of this if it meant the demolition of Tiger Stadium?
Tiger Stadium has a maximum of 20 years remaining, in my opinion. It will simply not be structurally sound forever. Therefore, the plan must be already underway to replace it (and we all know who's going to pay for it - much more than the ~$20 million per year tradition fund is raking in, that's for sure - look in the mirror - that's who is going to build Tiger Stadium II - Electric Boogaloo).
So, how and where are the questions....not if.
I prefer demolishing Tiger Stadium during the winter break of year 20XX - contract with the Superdome to play Season 20XX+1 and figure out how to compensate the season ticket holders you are screwing. This will be so the new stadium can occupy the same footprint of Tiger Stadium. I also strongly reject any name other than LSU's Tiger Stadium.
I'm in favor of the bowl configuration as closely as architecturally possible, but also include all modern safety, convenience and amenities. An architertually pleasing, continuous wrap around upper, possibly done as a sequel or in phases, to bring capacity to 106 to 115k, and reflecting the general look and feel of Tiger Stadium in the 70s from the outside, plus the upper, so that a casual observer could be transported from the same seat in 1978 to year 20XX+2 and only notice the additions and improvement, nothing that was there before "different" in any negative way.
But what do I know?

I'll take that bet.
They need to do huge renovations to the stadium. It looks like a dump in the concourses and the outside ain't a whole lot better (specifically that side facing Nicholson. Atrocious)

The fricking lower bowl has been up since the 20's.

bullshite. They can do structural rehabilitations just like they do with bridges or other buildings. The fricking Coliseum in Rome is still standing.

This is not true at all. You will still need to do routine maintenance/repairs like the work that will be done early next year but the structure will be fine for decades. The steel is the only thing you have to worry about and as far as I'm aware there are no issues with the reinforcing. Concrete continues to cure almost indefinitely, so it is constantly getting stronger.

I would clone the look and feel of Tiger Stadium before the first addition in the 70s. Of course make it bigger and with state of the art facilities.
