Les wanted a rematch.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I think Les was begging for a rematch. He has had to live under the shadow of Nick Saban no matter how his team performs. Even in Louisiana, we think Nick is a better coach. I think he wants the chance to beat him twice in a year, bring out the doubters in Alabama, maybe get his statue torn down and finally get the recognition he is due. What do you think?

Not saying he did but please explain?

If anyone thinks he has any qualms about playing Bama, they don't know Miles at all. I promise you he enjoys the competition.

Les wants a national championship. I'd bet thats as much thinking went into that.

Les understands his team and his team responds to the limelight. There is no bigger spotlight than a rematch with Bama. I don't know if it was his desire, but I can guarantee you he isn't hating it.

Les is one hell of a competitor, probably more then any other coach I have ever seen. He truly believes it, he didn't think twice or flinch when he stated "I would be honored to play them again". Les is a rare breed of coach that truly like the game better when it's bigger. I assume it comes from his rivalry big ten days. No one here can deny that les is the best big game coach in the biz right now.
He had shite to work woth at okie state and was split 50/50 with stoops while they were in their prime.
Dude loves big games, and for whatever reason, this gives him an undeniable advantage. I don't know if he sees the plan so clearly when others don't, but he certainly knows something that other coaches don't.
And I believe he is glad to play bama again.

Les was toeing the SEC company line. Bama in the BCS game means more money for everyone in the conference.

I do agree totally..his teams tend to play up or down depending on the competetion....hard to believe that a few short years ago everyone was saying that he couldn't win big games...

I know for a fact the players are sick of the Bama love and want to kick the shite out of Bama
Posted on 12/15/11 at 10:22 pm to Walt OReilly
Les feeds off of this shite, and he loves it. He wants the best on the other side of the field at all times, especially with the team that he knows that he has this year. Anyone that thinks he's not confident to beat bama again is an idiot.
