Frank Wilson is an amazing hire.

Agree.

With every passing year the more I feel Les will find it harder and harder to leave. I think he connects emotionally to these kids and it makes it hard for him to leave. There is one job I would worry about him leaving for and that would be Dallas. (not saying it is a possibility, but he has made a few comments that show he holds Jerry Jones in high regard)

I wouldn't be surprised if Les retired here.

ETA: I look at it this way: Les could be anything from a failure to a great coach for a few years in the NFL... or he could retire at LSU anything from a great all time coach to pushing Bear Bryant legendary territory.

Frank will be here and will be OC with Krag in 2 years. His talents are so well suited here it's ridiculous. He's the world's best person and salesman, and he's selling something the marketplace (LA) already loves (LSU Football), win-win. The RB situation in LA is ideal, LA has an unlimited reservoir of talented ballcarriers. Frank selling kids on LSU in NOLA is like having Billy Mays sell water in the desert. Just too perfect a fit.

Chavis is an awesome coach. Great at firing guys up. I couldn't see his personality fitting as a HC, he's a tad gruff, but he's the prototype for a driven, tough DC. I think he's a loyal guy, and respects Miles. I don't think he'd want or would do well with a HC role. He'll continue to be the country's greatest DC. I only hope that the Redskins or someone don't offer him 1.5 mil a year to DC. He's that good and worth it.

Krag is no risk to bail. It's just how long he mentally and physically can hold up. Pray for him, but he's a strong man and will do tremendously well working with QBs as long as he can. Krag's so good he fooled the NFL into taking Brian Brohm in the second round. He knows QBs.

Coop is a boss. He was already a HC at Louisville and DC at SCar and Miss St. I think he's awesome at what he does, and he will stay.

I think Stud will leave in a year or so, but we have Wilkerson and Miles who specialize in O-Line play. I think BG will leave shortly also, but with Krag and Frank it won't be a loss. The opening could be used to rehire Porter. We would CRUSH recruiting then. Porter in East Texas and Memphis, Frank in the boot = multiple championships.

We have a great staff of talented professionals and quality people. It's a great time to be a Tiger.

Any possibility of Larry Porter being brought back in some capacity?

I certainly hope so. He's already, in my mind anyways, the best coach we've ever had.
