Has there ever been a bigger QB controversy at LSU than this?

The JJ/JL arguments have been running for 3 to 4 years now starting mid-2008. There was a time in late 2008 when it appeared JJ had ended it but mid-2009 onwards the flames were fanned again. And then came 2010 and the battle lines were drawn again.

Not sure if there's ever been a more polarizing QB controversy as this one at LSU. I sure don't remember one.

Back in the Cholly Mac days, there was Ensminger vs. Woodley, but that wasn't to this degree.

I guess I need to get a handle on how "big" do you think this one is.

We're 13-0.

the only controversy is how certain people pull for a player over a team

I see this as a small vocal few of fans who want this to be a controversy. I don't think we have any controversy at QB. Les is playing the QB that gives us the best chance to win the game. And the entire team seems to understand this and be on board. It still does not change that both JL and JJ want to start, but they understand putting the team first gives LSU the best chance at winning the NC.

It's not as big as a few loud rantards on here try to make it out to be.

13-0. frick'em.

It's not a controversy until the "fans" make it one.

Like Miles said a couple weeks ago, it doesn't matter how we see it. He's the coach and he'll choose the best option that provides victory. He'll continue to do it without permission.

Woodley-Ensminger is most vivid in my memory. And it persisted into the pros in an odd way. Ensminger was signed by the Saints, I think. Woodley by Miami. When one of the other QB's that Miami signed was cut in favor of Woodley, that QB (from Stanford?) was picked up by N.O. and Ensminger was cut.

I think Woodley was the only rookie QB to start in the SB up through that time.

And yet you feel the need to dredge one up again. The two sides have drawn their lines in the sand, only a few weary rantards are in the middle trying to keep peace, and you post this little turd up on the front page for everyone to squabble over again. I feel like someone farted in church and we're scrambling for the exits.

Now they have the opportunity to be the best combo of QB's ever at LSU for one season! It was never really a 2 QB system but it turned out that way. Congrats to JJ and JL!
