When the AP chose in 2003 to become a slave to the BCS by being a component part of the system, they were not free to name a champion on their own.

The AP in 2011 is free from the BCS and can choose who they want

This is what I am saying.

LSU fans need to understand this. Everyone else does. If we are held captive to our USC-hate from 2003 or Alabama-hate from all of their bogus titles, it could come back to bite us.

I think LSU wins, but if they don't and the AP awards this team a title, they will have deserved it and it should be appreciated.

So can the Bogalusa Daily News. That doesn't mean they're the national champions though.
