What are objective thoughts on this? Does he stay until retirement? If so how long is this or does he make one more move? Sorry Gumps...He is as much a "Bama" Man as he was a Spartan or Tiger..

I think he goes to another school....He cant keep in one place too long, I think for him its all about the challenge and money, and I think "IF" he beats LSU he leaves.....He is a money whore, and whether Bama fans want to believe it or not he will leave them just like he did all the other places he has been to...

I think he goes 3-5 more years at Bama and retires to ESPN, where he can stare into everyone's soul through the cameras from a studio, instead of a sideline report.

He'll be at bama for 3-5 more years and retire.

I think he stays for about 3 more years and then takes an analyst job for one of the networks.

I think he has an aneurysm on the 'bama sideline in 3-5 years.

3-5 years like everyone else said. contract has 5 years left and he's said he plans to work through 2017. I think he may go a bit early though and be done in 2016 depending on what happens on the field next few years and how Kirby has done elsewhere as a HC (I think if Kirby is ready in to be HC in 2017 then Saban may leave one yr early and KS may take over as HC at Bama...flame away on that one, but it isn't as far fetched as you might think).
oh yeah...In before LSU fans claim there is no way he stays that long b/c he didn't stay that long with them.

The longer the Penn State job stays open, the more it looks like $aban is their guy.

But will be more so when he returns for a 6th season next year.

the simple and correct answer to this oft repeated question is nick saban stays at alabama as long as he wants to. after the NC at LSU saban was unsatisfied; he was younger and wanted more (his shot at the NFL). now, he has won a NC at bama and doesn't want to look around. i say he retires at bama or virtually does so; that is, he may leave late in life and coach a small school like his alma matar just for 'fun'.

Retires from college coaching at Bama (whatever be the time span)

imo, he will probably retire at bama. i don't think he will be coachin much longer though. probably another 3-4 years, just a guess though.

Don't see him leaving bama. Gumps worship him, he gets the job done, and he isn't going to make a lot more money somewhere else.
Also, I am not sure he will retire anytime soon. He does not strike me as the type that would be happy in retirement or has a desire to not coach anymore.

I haven't read through the thread, but I'm guessing you got the same thoughts as the last 4,897,260 times this subject was posted in the last year?

I think he will get fired if he loses the NC game.

I will be very surprised if he retires at bama. I see him coaching another 10 years (perhaps with a small break) and I just cant imagine all of those years will be at bama...

I think he's a lot more likely to leave earlier if Bama beats LSU in the national championship. He would really have nothing left to prove at Alabama.
