How credible is the Ole Miss effort to poach Frank Wilson?

i would say it's credible, from what i've read. he supposedly interviewed w/Archie last week and was a finalist for the HC gig. i know he and Freeze were on staff together before.
i don't know that an OC gig at OM is the move for him or not.

Archie was at the LSU/Arky game....
He doesn't just go to LSU games to hang out. He was probably there to talk to someone.
He was also at the SECCG but at least there he was there as a commentator and not a spectator.

What makes people think it's a dead end job? He was an assistant at Ole Miss before he took the LSU job, remember? It obviously wasn't a "dead end" then.

Wilson and Freeze are very close.....he could be OC at Ole Miss for a couple of years and then be HC somewhere....he's not going to be OC at LSU...

How much does Frank make at LSU, and won't all the LSU coaches get a huge bonus for the season they had?
I don't ever really see Ole Miss competing for an SEC West title, sans a freak season every now & then....Seems the HC job might be the only thing that would make Frank want to go to Ole Miss at this time.

He coached at Ole Miss under Orgeron. Wins and losses aren't really his biggest concern, obviously.
Y'all need to realize that coaches don't think the way we fans do. They care about attention and, most importantly, MONEY.

Ole Miss has plenty of money. They just hired the lowest paid head coach in division 1 football for $1.5m/ year. I'm sure he is pumped after making $152,000 last year.
