Quarterback Gunner Kiel, the no. 2 signal caller according to ESPN Recruiting Nation, is set to make his decision before Christmas Day. But, his friends at Columbus East may have spoiled the process.
"Columbus East students chanted 'LSU' as Kiel accepted the (The Indianapolis Star Indiana Mr. Football) trophy," Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star wrote .
The final choice for Kiel is between LSU, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt.

So I just watched a YouTube highlight of this kid and he looks pretty impressive. It looks like he's a good runner and would fit nicely into our offense which Miles likes to run with the option and what not. He can also throw the ball. Something we haven't done very well over the years. It would be great to have an option QB that was actually a threat to throw the ball as well.

I don't like how he was set to make a decision at the bball game, then decided not to when he heard the LSU chant. It makes me think he really wants to go to LSU, but family pressure is pushing him towards ND. I hope that I'm wrong, but it's just a feeling I get about the whole situation. Gunner wants LSU and his parents/family/friends want ND.

From reading the Notre Dame boards (so take it FWIW), but Kelly/ND has already been informed that it's not them.
So that leaves LSU and Vandy (and Indiana I guess).
