The sad truth of the BCS when it comes to perception and voters is that Baylor probably cost Oklahoma State a shot at the championship this year.

Yes Oklahoma State cost themselves undoubtedly with their loss to Iowa State a few weeks back, but they found themselves right back in the mix with their strong resume of wins which has resulted in strong computer scores across the board.

What is sad is that if Oklahoma would have survived the game in Waco against Baylor that same very weekend, we would be looking at a 3 vs 4 matchup in Bedlam on Saturday, with the winner without a doubt getting a spot in the BCSNCG.

Its still a top 10 match up dawg. Hell, OU is even 4th in some comps.

Hell I agree with you but you wouldn't know it if you listened to the media.

All we would be hearing about all week is how it's the second biggest game of the season with the national championship shot on the line, now freaking Gameday isn't even going there and it is the ABC prime time game.

In numerous threads Carl I ve seen you defend bammer in the BCSCG........and its BS

OSU should get in with a win over OU........but it won't happen.....simply because they are not bama and don't have the propaganda machine.

Furthermore, the same weekend bama lost to LSU.....arky won and still dropped a single spot........the fix was in the minute bama only dropped one spot

This would not have been the case for LSU had it lost.

They have 6 wins over the top 30 teams in the BCS, 7 with a win over Oklahoma. This is why they are going to be number 2 across the board in the computers.

LINK

Could you please show me any team in the country with a stronger resume of wins then this?? link?

You're right. OSU will get beaten by no less than four touchdowns this weekend, and the point will be moot!

OSU will only hold 2nd place on the computers that ignore margin of victory. The BCS will not allow the more accurate models such as PREDICTOR because they are not politically correct. But the more accurate, non BCS computer systems such as those used in Las Vegas have OSU ranked 4th. Even OSU's own coach admitted to the press that they are not the 2nd best team in the nation. OSU ranks 107th in total defense and has held only 2 teams to fewer than 24 points. There is no way they are the 2nd best team in the nation. And the LSU nation knows it - which is why so many LSU fans want to play OSU instead of Bama.

Not at all

LSU fans hate the fact that the entitled bama fans might actually get the chance they are sure they deserve......because they think so.

Probably because anyone who watches college football knows Bama is a much better football team. Only the anti rematch folks would vote otherwise and I doubt few of them believe OSU is in LSU/Alabama's class.

Is this somehow supposed to dispute the fact that Bama is better than OSU? I think what you are actually trying to say is that in a bowl game situation, any team can win. Doesn't really mean that they are more talented than the alternatives. Bama/LSU are far better than OSU. Be real, no one will vote OSU over Bama because they actually believe they are better. They will do it because they can, and want to.

Hello Bama Fan, you are too opinioned on this to be anything other. And yes bama heirachy does know how to grease the wheels to get votes on things such as this.
It isn't the first time, and if somebody doesn't take a stand it won't be the last.

Last year was SC in bama's league, or LSU, or Auburn?? Finbaum said that all bama had to do to go undefeated was not fall asleep.
Well they fell asleep last year, and are you smarter than Finebaum, that you can say they aren't capable of falling asleep this year????
Maybe you can get your own radio show, I'll look for Tammy's number if you need it.

Wow, that is exactly right. You just won a trip on the short bus.

It surely wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that we ALREADY beat you on YOUR field. You are Old news to us. Bring on someone we haven't beat already this year.

You Gumps are so full of yourselves. I can't wait to beat you again, even though it is completely retarded that Bama is going to BACK into this game. Anyone who is a fan of college football should be against this ridiculousness.

For the fools that think only teams that are better on paper win: I offer this Utah vs bama in the SB a few years ago. Or maybe Oklahoma vs Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl, there are no "unbeatable" teams.
And that includes LSU this weekend, but I sure as hell HOPE we do!!!!!
