wiki must be out of date then:
Its headquarters remain in Baton Rouge, La., though the company opened a second restaurant support office in Plano, Texas in 2009.
This is hilarious to me. They went to move their headquarters to Plano and it caused such a shite storm in the local media and such negative press that Canes came out and said "no no no, we aren't moving our headquarters!" and they left the small BR office here and call it the "offical headquarters" and then they have their huge corporate office in Plano, which is really the headquarters but just not in name
Todd Graves didnt even graduate from LSU, that's another myth that people in BR seem to believe. He graduated from Georgia.
ETA: I love canes, probably eat their once a month and they do a lot of good in the BR community with their dog parks and pet adoption days and stuff

. My cold cut sandwich actually went up in price when they put it on the $5 menu (It was around 4.79 before)
Well, you're in luck. You should be able to get a footlong Cold Cut or Meatball for $4 during the month of December.

It was while he was at UGA that he "stole the idea." You know, the idea to sell chicken fingers. That proprietary and revolutionary idea that should have remained the child of Guthrie's.

I can go to a Canes in the ghetto and get infinitely better service and faster serve times than a Popeyes in a nice part of town. frick going to Popeyes. Canes treats me like a human being. I'd rather pay the premium - plus I think it tastes better.
As for their price increase, it has jumped up some, but not enough to price me out, and quality hasn't suffered, imo.

I've seen a few people say Popeye's tenders are better. I've tried them 4-5 times and they've always been dry. Don't get me wrong...I love dat chicken from Popeye's, but the tenders are the suck.

It was his partner that turned in the project for his business class at UGA and got a "C" on it...you know the legendary story
But yea, the only ties to BR and LSU is he opened the first restaurant right off campus. Somehow people think he is some famous LSU alumn

Again, it depends on your area, I will say that Canes generally has the best employees of the chains.

To reiterate for you slow children regarding the price. Everyone understand prices go up with time. With Cane's they shrink the portions a great deal whilst raising the price. They seem to have suckers still buying it and that's cool. But I boned out a long time ago and just stick to locals for a poboy that's far better in quality.

i remember when canes first opened up and "Stuff" worked there. Hell at 3:30 am after the The Varsity or The Bayou there is nothing better. We would make our own boxes, one of em became the caniac, for about 5.00$. DAMN YOU INFLATION

Can get a good take out poboy or something from a real restaurant for the same price
Definitely agreed. Plus, as tempting as Cane's always smells, it makes my stomach feel very sick every time I eat it. Too greasy for me.

Never been there, what type of food do you serve?
Well our tenders are the best around I am told but would tell you to try the garlic fish. Sautéed fish with a garlic butter sauce over it. If you come in at night and like mussels then mussels diablo is another awesome dish. We have tuna tacos hell it’s hard to go wrong here with what every you like.

Anyone mention that the Sandwhich combo is cheaper now? True story.

I guess that explains why they won't sell the sandwich combo on toast instead of bun. I was told by an employee it was cheaper than a three finger box and you get an extra piece of toast and they can't sell it that way.

So i heard the Business class project and the C grade, but have always heard it was LSU. He really went to UGA? Wow.Strike that myth down
Posted on 4/14/13 at 6:34 pm to Spoonie Luv
It was. I remember 2002-2004 I used to get the 5, yes, 5-finger Box Combo without a drink and extra toast instead of cole slaw. It came out to be $4.99 after taxes or $6 exactly w/ the drink. I felt like the strips were larger then but I could be trippin'. I ate there an unhealthy 4-5 times a week. It was an addiction.

How much is a premium chicken sandwich meal at McDonald's, like $7 after tax? Yeah, canes has gone up in price, but its not that expensive compared to other places. Anyone know how much a similar meal costs at zaxbys?
