Looks bad..... let Okie State and the media fight this battle for us... If someone else is deserving, let them stand up and fight it.... if they don't, then the answer is no one else believes that they are better then Bama and so be it, we should look forward to beating Bama for the second time this year....

This is my problem if Bama goes to the BCS NG:
A. We beat them on the road
B. Bama didn't win their division of the SEC
C. Bama didn't win the SEC
D. Bama doesn't have to play another game and risk injuries to players
E. They sit and wait for over a month and wait for the bowl game.

and on a personal note, it adds to Bama's already "yeah but we deserve that" mentality.

It would be complete bullshite if it happens. Here's to the power of the human voters.

Then there is no argument whatsoever as Bama is the only team that would deserve to be in that game among the remaining teams.

Where do you see LSU driving such a discussion?

Many people feel a rematch is "unfair." If so, then they believe Bama shouldn't play LSU again regardless.

I thought we weren't talking about things that didn't happen.

Yeah the whole thing OSU has going for them is they will be a 1 loss team with more top 25 wins than Bama.

If they win they deserve a shot @ LSU as bama already had theirs at home.

I don't care what it looks like, fair is fair. Bama had their chance.

Some people say well what if LSU was in their position.. I know for one thing the media would heavily be against a rematch and be pumping up OSU to no avail.

Just asking your opinion since rematches are not fair. Go to Va Tech or Stanford?

No. We'll see how much power the human voters have after this weekend and how it all weighs in on everything.

It pretty much hangs on what OSU does to OU. I'll admit that.

But to say Bama is a lock right now is ridiculous.

I won't like it but that's the way it is.

Like Soulja just said..... Bama had their shot, they blew it.

everyone gets the situation, LSU should be low key (like our coach) and let nature take it's course..... focus on what we control.... winning

ONLY problem I have with a rematch is that we already beat Bama and it won't prove a damn thing. If we hadn't played Bama and they were #2 I'd be fine with them in the NC.

That being said I agree with OP that LSU should just lay low and stay out of the discussion.

Move down to the NEXT highest ranked team which has not ALREADY lost to LSU.

Understand, just curious as to your belief that a rematch shouldn't occur. I suppose you would default to the next BCS team not named Bama should OU win.

i agree bama is the second best team, but my problem with the system is that it should be the top 10 teams go to bcs games and not have conference tie in.

I would default to VT should they win their conference. Though I admit bama might take issue with VT's schedule.

I just stated it Roger.

Here's LSU. LSU beats Alabama on the road.
LSU wins the west.
LSU more than likely, wins the SEC.
LSU risks having players hurt in that game. Let's say RR breaks his arm. Well he won't be back for the BCS NG. Yet all of Bama's players will be rested and good to go since they'll be watching the game on tv in Tuscaloosa.

Bama should go simply because they remained at #2 and the only team to beat them was the team that's been ranked above them all season?

Did I say that? I did not. Here's what I said:
