I like Ambrose's comment from that site:
Yeah...Hudspeth sucks

Isn't Gruden in New Orleans preparing for Monday Night Football right now?? If we hire Hudspeth expect our SEC losing streak to go to 0-22. What a joke. I thought money was not going to be an object in this search. I'll bet Hudspeth would take 500 grand and a sweatshirt to coach us. Just offer Gruden a 4 year/20 million dollar deal and let's get this train back on the tracks. I'm so sick of this Bullsh*T!!

I like Hud, but I couldn't really blame the casual fan for not getting jacked up about his hire.

The Reb fans want Leach, Smart, or Briles. They will go apeshit if they hire Hud or Freeze.

I understand. I just hope Archie agrees with the fans.

Anything but Tulane. I think that job is a coaching graveyard.
Hud is smarter than that, so we'll see...

I think Smart and Briles can wait on better gigs. I don't see them actively going after Leach either.
I think its Fedora's job to lose.

I hope they get their wish. I really don't want Hudspeth to leave because he's done a great job, but I think we're in a good position going forward. Our school has gone from coaching graveyard to springboard in just one year. Scott Farmer has hired Hudspeth and Marlin so far, so I think I'll trust his judgement.

I hope it isn't Fedora. Hud would be the number 1 candidate for Southern Miss.

I forgot about Fedora. I think they'd hate that hire even more

Ideally you look for a guy like Hud again. HC experience on the lower levels or coordinating experience at a mid level school.

I wouldn't mind a guy like Ron Roberts from Delta State. He was one of the guys I listed in my other thread.

Someone mentioned to me that there is a 2 year clause with NO OUT for Hud. Any truth to that? My argument is that anyone who wants him probably can and will pay what ULL wants and void the contract.

Haven't heard of that in his contract, tiger91.

IMO, and I know that Kirby Smart may be waiting for a better gig but I believe with his zeal he could turn the Johnny Rebs around pretty fast. Sorry i m much older that most of you all and I just cant call them or get used to calling them the Black Bears.

Well, that is why I'm asking. And even if it IS in his contract, contracts are made to be broken, aren't they?
Time will tell.
