I wonder if it was Boise State that had only lost to LSU by a field goal in overtime, and Boise had beaten two teams in the top 25, would everyone be saying that Boise State should get a rematch.

Ok st. must have 25% of the 2vote and all the 3vote by next Sunday or it's Lsu's worst nightmare. Yep, playing the only team that has beat you on the field. And the only team that can beat you on the scoreboard. Roll Tide!

I can not believe that you would not be at least a little worried that 25% of the voters would vote a conference champion ahead of Bama.

Also, I think that some voters might put oSu and VT ahead of Bama. Your 25% is based upon Bama receiving all of the other 2nd place votes. You don't know that is going to happen.

How many ACC, B1G, and Big 12 coaches will vote:
1) LSU
2) oSu
3) VT
4) Bama

You might even have a few B1G and PAC coaches vote their conference champion ahead of Bama.

On the Gundy quote, you are leaving out two very important words. He says "right now" at the end a few times. That is for this week. Sounds like to me he is putting the least possible pressure on his team by playing the 3rd place ranking for this week and after/if a win will make Okie St's case for 2nd.

In a world of soundbites, he should have thought that out better IMO.

This routine is getting old. This is the same old game boxers who get beat have played for years. Picking a fight with the guy that beat you by accusing them of being scared…. yada yada yada. But you’re in luck. LSU doesn’t have the option of “running” away from “its worst nightmare”.

By "beat you on the field", do you mean "team who scored less points than you"?

I know this is hard for a Gump to follow, but:

1) The scoreboard is a reflection of scoring.
2) Scoring is what happens when you succeed ON THE FIELD

Enjoy your moral victory. It's all the poor little Gumps have.

If the Conference Championships are going to get rematches in games played in the BCSCS then I am against conference title games.

The problem with the Nick Saban 2003 quote is that it's up to the voters ... not to him. And while I agree with him, even if he feels that way what does he do if his team is voted #2? Say, sorry we won't play?

Anyone have a map showing where the voters are geographically??? Hope that they aren't concentrated in the south.

that it isn't real as far as anyone can prove. Putting words in quotes doesn't mean he actually said them.

The real way is to genuflect to the ESPN fix game altar, and then to vote Alabama # 2.
Proof has nothing to do with it.

WTF does this have to do with anything I said?
