Yep, Wilson was on board, but Miles has that obsession with trying to recruit "Athletic" QB's that can move their feet, so he blew it with Wilson.

No, I pay attention to recruiting and have a good memory. This guy was never a part of any class at any time. My guess is that he was as 'committed' to LSU as Storm Johnson.

You are a little off on this.

Wilson was the top pro-style QB in Arkansas and I think 9th in nation.

Nutt decided to offer the top option QB in Arkansas, who committed.

Petrino offered Wilson within a few days of taking the Arkansas job.

There were concerns about him being a shotgun QB but now a days in HS Football this is becoming more and more a problem.

Wilson had trouble going under center his first 2 years (RS Freshman year and Freshman year)at Arkansas but those problems were fixed before last season.

Here's a link about Wilson's recruitment by LSU. Interesting to read all of the HAWG fans' comments about his recruitment! Not all are sold on him. Sounds like he was also considering going to MLB.
