Place to stay in memphis for the game?

Looking to go out friday and saturday night (mid 20s to early 30s group). Heard Beale St. is one of the places to go. Is this the best place or does downtown have more options? Also any recommended places to eat in Memphis?

Beal St. is downtown.
If you want dry ribs go to Rendevous.
I personally like wet ribs. Corky's is good, but if you're in the Beale Area, try Blues City for wet ribs.
