First, I'm a sucker for a new gimmick. That being said, I just bought some of these Tink's Hot Bombs at Academy to try in the next few weeks. I've killed plenty of bucks checking out my scent bombs, but this is my first try with the heated variety. The idea makes sense in essense, since warmth usually smells better than something cold. Has the OB had any luck with this product?

My other idea is to apply the scent to leftover Thermacell pads and see what happens. I'm sure I'm not the first hunter to think of this though.

Doesn't hurt to try I guess. OB Thoughts?

I've never tried the scent bombs. Do they work fairly well in south Louisiana?

I used them for the first time last year and had good success. I killed a nice 10pt after putting two of them out. Not sure if the heat does the trick or just the Tink's.

Havent tried them yet. But the fact that heat rises should help disperse the scent better than those that are cold. Let us know how they work.

I hang tampons from limbs (they have strings uknow) and drench in doe urine. I've had bucks walk up and lick them. The urine from a real doe cools fast anyway so I think hot is a waste of money.

I saw these things at Bowie thy were patches made to go where the mosquito repellant goes on your thermacell and you put urine on it and it heats it

I'm really thinking about trying this, but I'm scared the Butane that is used to heat the pad may mess with the Scent.

I'll let the OB how it works. If no one tried new things, we wouldn't know what we know now.
