Best part about last night is the good guy getting respect.
Thanks Coach Miles - decent people do still come out ahead

Our special teams have always be subpar, at least kicking. Thats what he needs to work on. I think everything else is just fine (except for all the cute attempts to score tds)

It's true. Miles understands the importance of special teams. They are are the difference in close games (especially if you can't get a turnover). Saban royaly screwed up not having a place kicker that could make a 45 yd. FG.

Sigh...the best team in the nation doesn't beat itself at home in the biggest game of the year.

I wouldn't call going backwards once you're deep in LSU territory time after time after time to put yourself in position to have to attempt long field goals is "just fine."
But that's just me.

The best team in the country lost Saturday, this according to the team that lost. Actually, it was incredibly hard to tell No. 2 Alabama had lost by listening to the Crimson Tide players talk afterward.
"We are still the best team in the country," 'Bama wide receiver Marquis Maze said. "If we played them again, we wouldn't lose."
Say this for the Tide, they handled losing The Game of the Century, 9-6 in overtime to No. 1 LSU on their fourth missed field goal of the night, with unusual aplomb.
"It was nothing they did, it was all on us," Tide wide receiver Darius Hanks said when asked about LSU's defense.
So, who is better?
"Alabama is still the better team," he said. "Definitely."
Sounds like the least ARROGANT team won last night. SORE LOSERS, but then again, IT IS BAMMER. People live in a constant state of myopic elitism. Like trying to reason with a spoiled rotten child and convince them that the sun really doesn't rise and shine over them. Complete and utter detachment from reality.

"Coach Saban told us in the locker room it's not over," Hanks said. "There is definitely a chance of seeing those guys again if things go our way."
Their God is delusional as well! Thank explains it all..

I'm just not basing my entire outlook on the offense one series (regardless of how big the series was). The skies not falling

That is Saban's mo, our kickgame at LSU was not great under him. Also, his process causes teams to be loose in big games and games they should win. I.E. Florida 2003 and 1/2 Tenn 2011. But his system will certainly win more than they will loose and he probably will win one more crystal ball before retiring. (May not be at Alabama)

The kicking was always substandard at LSU when Saban was here and people still give Miles grief about giving scholarships to kickers.
That talk might have quieted down now.

The "process" doesn't include our kicker.

You would think that anyone who watched Matt Leinart embarrass himself after losing to Texas in the BCSNCG by declaring that USC was "still the better team" would have the good sense not to open his dumb mouth like that.

Bama no different than all the other losers, play us again they win for sure, THEY SAY.
I have an idea, let all the people we beat have a run off of games and we play the winner

Bama missed three FGs (we BLOCKED one--give credit where it is due). The first miss was the only one you can hang on a kicker--44 yards. The other two were 50 and 52 (even the blocked kick was 49). The coach who put his players in a position where they could not succeed was Nick Saban. Chick writer or not, she's right. With how Bama's defense was playing, a smart coach (like Les) plays for field position). Nick cost his team by making bad decisions.

If this were Miles, he'd be getting roasted for too much Lesticles with the Maze pass, for sheer stupidity on his first-half field-goal use and for his laissez-faire attitude leading to costly second-half penalties. This was Saban, though, so his hands stayed mostly clean.
We tend to put coaches in boxes; Saban gets to be a calculating genius while Miles is the mad genius who lucks his way into victories. Neither is totally true. Miles makes a lot of his own luck, and Saban makes his share of mistakes.
best part of that article, and so true!!
