LSU's record in Tuscalousa speaks for itself. I do not think the crowd will be a factor in the game.

A lot of people were winning games against Alabama in Tuscaloosa during the beginning of the last decade. Past games have no impact on the game next week though. If you don't think playing at home, in front of the home crowd, is an advantage for Alabama then you're insane.

Enormous game, they'll be loud as he'll.
Scoring early will take them out of it though, for a stretch at least

Maybe, but this is such a big match up and all eyes, and i do me ALL eyes will be on this game. The refs know they will pretty much be crucified if they make bad calls that could alter the game. Especially after the PP7 interception/ not interception.

Yes, the sound of grown men shaking pom pom's is deafening...

Posing from iPhone? I hate it when it does that....

This. I'll take 12,000 drunk coonasses > 90,000 shaking pom poms all day.

I am skeptical of these kinds of runs when the last game is the one that goes in the other direction. Once a streak is broken, like our streak of 4 in a row at BDS was in 2009, dominance has to be re-established before the now-broken streak can be used convincingly as part of a run (I'm using "run" to refer to a span of dominance that isn't quite an undefeated streak, like winning 4 out of 5, 7 out of 9, etc.).
So, saying we've won four of the last five isn't all that valid now, but if we win on Nov. 5th to re-establish the dominance, saying we've won five of the last six will be more valid.

Home field is an advantage. Do you think LSU playing at home is not an advantage ? Same goes for Bama. Having said that there will be only 22 people of the field at a time.

try these : LSU is 10-4 at Alabama since 1982. LSU has not lost back to back games at Alabama since 1978 and 1980.

Yes.
However, the big games we've played thus far this season will serve our Tigers well in this one. A loud crowd is only effective if it affects the visiting team. Our guys won't be affected.

Considering the places LSU has played, I don't think it's going to matter. The advantage of the home field is that the crowd will affect the concentration of the atheletes. Not in a game like this.

Now, that does not mean LSU will win. I really don't have a clue. But, for this game, "home field advantage" doesn't matter nearly as much.
