everyone needs to realize that the only people who really know anything are the michigan ad, whoever he told the story to, miles and whoever he told the story to. that's it. until it comes straight from them, there's no reason to put any stock in anything that's out there. even if someone other than brandon and miles spoke up, no one other than those two would know if they were telling the truth.

this is true of all coaching searches. what you hear in the media is mostly hearsay and probably inaccurate. like dennis erickson being a candidate when saban got hired.

Unlike so many in this thread, I've got no inside scoop; but the impression I've always had is that Miles and Michigan had mutual interest, Carr hated Miles for his own reasons and Herbstreit the Buckeye broke the story early with the full knowledge that Miles would have to disavow any interest on the eve of the SECCG. Then Pitt beats WV.


Don't overlook Herbie's role in this.
