Didn't notice any flags getting tossed on TM7. Did, however, see Poole toss a football at TM7's head and saw UT back up 15 yds because of it.

Exactly. I'm kinda indifferent about the trash talk but when that happened, I knew that it was a direct result of the twitter war. Cost em 15 and put em in a hole.

it's really hilarious watching people finding things to bitch about when we're ranked number fricking 1 in the country.

As Coach Norman Dale once said "This is your team". Quit trying to change every little fricking detail until you get this perfect little team you always dreamed of having when you were just a kid. life's not fair and you won't get what you want. This is your team. For better or worse (and mostly it's just been a shite ton of better this season) This is your team. STFU and deal with it bitches.

A little bit goes a long way but he has gone a little too much. It is almost like he is consumed with the trash talking. I remember a program....Miami that did trash talking all the time and look at what happen to them. I really don't want their reputation.

I kinda side with the OP, if this was a player from another school posting some of things I've seen on his twitter we would be lambasting him. However, it being an LSU player it is ok and cool and he is above the criticism. Now I am not sure if it is his actual twitter or one someone else is using from some things that have been posted.

I agree. On his pass interference he hit the guy about 8 seconds early and then he jumped around like he just made the play to beat Bama.

SSDD. that's always how its been and always how it will be. our women are better looking than their women. our smartest are smarter than their smartest. and our honey badger takes what he wants because they don't even have one. i accept TM7 for everything he brings trash talk and all especially because to this point it has only hurt the opposition by drawing personal fouls from them. i don't understand what all the fuss is about.

I missed the first half of the game. Which of his tweets did they show on CBS?

Personally, I wish Miles would do something and make these guys shut the frick up... But as long as we are #1 and curb stomping teams week in week out, i really don't care

A little is fine, but NOT SO MUCH! Let your superior play do the talking! The endorsements for the Honey Badger are off the chart, but not if trash talking is all you do. Just sayin...

By "not so much" you mean - not after every play. I noticed that myself yesterday.

Ill just say that some guys play at a higher level by getting into it like that. When i played ball (a life time ago) we had one guy who TM7 reminds me of. He would talk the talk ,but he also could walk the walk. "The ole sayn "its not bragging if you can do it" keep givem them hell #7.

I've always felt that historically our defense gets a little too "into" how great they are over the course of a season and wind up playing at lower level in November because of it.

I think it's a legitmate concern that this defense is reading its own press a little too much.

The extracurricular Twitter activity and such this week is indicative of that.

They need to keep focused with tough times ahead.

I think what the complainers are trying to say is that there are players on this defense who don't seem to have a problem with being focused on running their mouths.

That doesn't mean I don't love the Tigers. It doesn't mean I think the defense sucks. What I'm saying is that I'm concerned about their apparent inflated self-image.

What inflated self image, you ask? The Tigers are the most feared defense in the nation! Uh... that's what THEY think. The truth is, they're not even the most feared defense in their own DIVISION. Some perspective may be in order.

EXACTLY!

Someone mentioned how terrible Miami looked doing it....Just don't want to get to that level.

All we gotta do is shut down McCarron and we're in New Orleans again....Bama won't be able to contain SW the whole game...

I agree, he needs to cool it on the tweets, that is what brings negative attention and he is too good of a player for that...

But there is nothing wrong with trash talking during the game, keep it up!

meh... once you decide to go down the slope - don't complain that it is too slippery!

Either you allow (passively or not) trash talk and the consequent attitude that feeds it (and becomes a positive feedback loop in itself) or you ask the kids to refrain from doing it and don't condone it.

Has there been a peep out of the LSU administration or the coaches about this? IF not then STFU.
They know when enough is enough and will step in to stop it if it is causing the team to not play to their level.
