I disagree. This is a negotiated stair step funding that leads to full compensation. TCU knows that by 2015 they'll be fully vested if you will. Think of it as consideration for the fact that TCU will not be adding peak value for a few years until it has built up some rivalries besides the Texas schools and had a chance to expose its brand as a Big XII team thus generating the revenue.

While I agree that the Big XII has had some lousy financial dealings in the past with its members, this makes sense. Unlike A&M or Syracuse, it is harder to make the argument that TCU immediatley adds a significant financial addition to the conference. In time it should offer a lot, but off the bat it does bring as much as other schools and is being compensated as such.
