Honestly not trying to stir nuttin' up or anyting, but are LSU fans welcome in Lake Charles, Thibadaux, and Lafayette, or are the in-State rivalries with McNeese, Nicholls, and ULL pretty huge?

You'll find more LSU fans in any of those towns, and in fact on any of those campuses, than you will fans of the local schools.

LSU fans are everywhere even where McNeese, Nicholls, and UL fans are. It's not like they play eachother a lot. I have heard about UL fans hating LSU, but that's just dumb, I have family members who are married as LSU and UL alumns respectively.

You'll find as many or more students from La. Tech, NW State, ULM, ULL, Nicholls, Mcneese, Southeastern at an LSU than you would at the games at their actual campuses.

LSU is the only school that matters in athletics in the state.

Don't drink the koolaide. There's no such thing as a UL in Louisiana.

Absolutely. Louisiana is LSU first, and then other schools second. Plus none of these teams play LSU too often anyway.

Having lived there, I am dumbfounded by many of the ULL people's delusions of grandeur and hatred of LSU. But to their credit, they probably have the best sense of school identity of any South Louisiana college.

Nah, Lake Charles is really the exception of the state. You will find a lot of McNeese fans in this town, as we regularly average 17k in attendance for our games. But pretty much all McNeese fans are LSU fans. It's two different levels of football and we know that.

I lived in Monroe forever and I can tell you people care about LSU way more than NLU/ULM whatever you want to call it.

Id say ul has more non lsu fans than the others. The ones that hate lsu are ul fans that had no desire to go to lsu regardless.
