I guarantee you that this play will be discussed at the conference level and the officials will be instructed that the Wing incident was not was intended to be "taunting"

The SEC officiating committee already backed the call.

Think for a minute about everything that could be deemed "taunting". It's insane.

im thinking, and i really cant think of that much. Turning toward a defender and throwing your arms out like that before you reach the endzone is taunting, bottom line.

for 2, i think this is the first time this penalty has been enforced on a TD play in 6 weeks of football. So obviously it isnt being called that liberally.

No, it was called at the end of a USC game but the PAC 12 reversed it because it is a horrible rule. Vegas almost melted down.

This is the same SEC officiating committee that backed the Bama replay booth's call in 2009...

By the letter of the rule, it was a penalty. Fine. Then call it all the time, every time someone (ball carrier or not) celebrates before a play is blown dead.

Of course they did. They had no choice. What I'm saying is that the same play will not be called as "taunting" after discussions among the conference officials during the week. It was outrageously "ticky tacky" and should not have been called.

If a play like that were to be called in a close game that determined a championship, there would be a mutiny and rightfully so.

Are you using Vagisil regularly? It could help.
