Best thing I have seen Lee do is when he just gave a reassuring smile to RR after he dropped the TD pass. It said, that aint nothin man. We still got this and you are still our number one receiver. Blow it off. We will win.

That's the kind of thing a leader does when the chips are down. I am grateful that Lee took his lumps as a RS freshmen. CLM is right. He was baptized by fire and has progressed to a real leader which our team desparatedly needed.

This isn't a QB debate. Lee is a leader off and on the field. Lee will be a leader when other QB's are taking us down the field in mop up duty.

Even when Lee was the backup I used him as an example for my teenage son " On how to persevere "
His success has cemented this idea into my son's head.

I love football.

I like your way of thinking. He is a great leader. Last year I went to the Florida game as a student sat on the third row off the field right behind the team. Man it really pissed me off to watch JJ bitch at the receivers. The guy just has a bad attitude.

All that this kid has been through, the INT's, being demoted, and pretty much being thoroughly humiliated could have made a lesser person quit! This kid has proven he is made of great substance, so it would be a great story to see him finish his LSU career by winning a NC title!

Lee has earned not only immense respect for what he has perservered, but he has proven on the field that he's the guy that should be leading this team without question. It seems that Miles is sooo infatuated with JJ that he is determined to have him be way more prominent in this offense than he deserves or should be.

Lee will make a good Pro. He is coachable and will be even better when he gets more NFL coaching. I'd take a flyer on him in the 4'th round if he is still available at that spot.

After 2008, if there was one thing I was clear on, it was that I never wanted Lee to take another snap for LSU. He clearly wasn't good enough.

Now, he is an example for me and my family on how to fight back. No excuses, no complaints - just hard work, determination and a mature attitude. Wow!!

I think we're all happy with the quarterback play by Lee. But, let's don't turn this into a Lee is good, versus Jefferson, who hasn't played. I really like both players, and I trust the Coaches to make the decisions.

I think we would of seen that scowl of frustration that JJ frequently wears.

I know this has been said, but what scares me most about JJ is that Miles may have a SHORT, too short, leash on Lee and put JJ in. Also, you can see Lee get in rhythm with his passes and play and his confidence grow. Putting in two QB's he doesn't have that luxury. Just scared Lee will now be looking over his shoulder and start to overthink his play. That said, I wish nothing but the best to JJ and hope he can put this Shady stuff behind him.
