We learned a lot about this coach last night. Thank God we didn't get him as our OC.

i've lived all over the nation. and the only times that i come across the attitudes that we get blamed for..is when i'm in the bigger cities and that's for all ages.

when i'm out in the country i don't come across these attitudes..yes i come across rednecks and hillbillies. but they don't do anything to anyone if left alone for the most part. yes you do get your ignorant ones, but that's the same as anywhere else

and age is no excuse, my 8 year old behaves better than some of those 18- 24 year olds and that's the honest truth. and i know for a fact i was much better behaved in that time range listed. granted if i acted like this, i would've had the federal government up my arse and not just fans. the usmc and military in general wants you to conduct yourself in a certain manner. tis called discipline

there are lines and rules to civilized society, and they are there for a reason.

The assessment of WVU fans was dead on. Over 25 = friendly, nice, apologetic for the lamer aspects of their fanbase. Under 25 = jerks, often pathetically so.

Hate to tell you I told ya so....

But I frikin told ya so.

I took so much shite on this board from WVU and LSU fans alike.

But I told you, by experience, that I knew you'd be unimpressed.

The reason I brought up the word, 'Inferior' was because I knew they have no class, sub-par tradtion, and collectively, no football IQ (They booed when our OL was injured....not a DL to stop that 'frenetic' pace).

SEC teams would have to endure having to go to that sorry, pathetic town.

Again, I am sorry for being to harsh on MountainBEERS (a butt hurt poster), but all I did was tell you what I SAW, NOT HEARD. And he and CSDWVU got a wittle upset.

ETA: I would like to add one more thing. I have been to 3/4 of all SEC stadiums. I understand we hate:

Bama,
AU,
UF,
Ole Miss

But there is an understanding between knowlegdeable fanbases.

You won't hear me trash another fanbase this year. I was simply clearing the air about what I knew, and what you all have read since Saturday night.

Assuming that the SEC is going to expand sooner or later, who would you suggest (realistically) is going to come and is better than A+M?

Just so the WVU fans on here know, there are some LSU fans who don't give a damn about booing, coaches cursing, perceived fake injuries, etc.

Sounds like their fanbase will fit right in, in the SEC.

Except for Kentucky, Vanderbilt, this the attitude of most of our fanbases.

Not sure how they are in football, but they're basketball fans can be a rough bunch.

they are shite in football..because they don't really have football fans.

rupp arena and their football are worlds apart in terms of participation and atmosphere

if their football stadium could be 1/10th of rupp arena on a good game they might then be able to make some noise

Assuming A&M is a done deal...

Dream List
1. Texas
2. Oklahoma
3. Fla. State
4. Clemson
5. Va. Tech

There's no talk about Texas or Oklahoma, so that's wishful thinking. Fla. State, Va. Tech, and Clemson aren't leaving the ACC, plus So. Car. and UF would probably balk at adding their nemesis.

Realistic List
1. TCU
2. Missouri
3. WVU
4. Louisville

TCU I highly highly highly doubt that since we have A&M now. I don't think Clemson would be on the "dream list".

WVU Fan: we have done more in both major sports in the last 10 years than both those schools

Yes you did...competing in the Big East, which is weakest football conference. You've "done more" against the likes of Rutgers, UConn, etc. How would you have fared in the ACC, SEC, Big 10?

It only hinges on TV markets. They could be the lowest class MF'ers in the world and if they brought a few million more eyeballs to the table on Saturdays, they'd be in. If they were the classiest people in the world and nobody wanted to watch their games, they'd be out. Look to the numbers.

TCU would move the SEC more into Texas and (hopefully) alternate the SECCG with either Dallas or Houston and Atlanta

VT, Miami and BC were actually in the Big East until 2003, their average records and level of play really haven't changed since they left. I would say most years VT is the class of the ACC, their best years as a program though? Big East early 2000's, and when they played us it was always tight. I really can't take the concept that we wouldn't be a top tier ACC team. We haven't lost to UMD in 7 years, we've beaten both UNC and GT in bowl games with in the last 5 years, we do have a loss to FSU but that's probably the only other team aside from VT that I feel like we'd struggle with in the ACC.

The Big East is really only recently a garbage conference, even as recently as 2008 it was pretty underrated.

West Vigina deserves this fricking prick. They deserve each other. Big crybaby with a ghetto mentality. Argued with the ref on every call that went against them. Classless douchebag. Leave em in West Vigina.

You've got a decent football team - but getting "up" for a game or two a year isn't the same as facing stiffer competition every week. This is the same criticism Boise State suffers from...they have not been tested with constant, week after week, top scheduling. Get a taste of Alabama, Ark, Fla, Auburn, etc. every year and come out with one loss.

if we get into the sec, then we'll be able to see exactly how wvu would fare.

untill then it's a moot point. you play the teams you must play due to conference membership and who is available to play in OOC games.

Based on what I saw on tv last night, I think WVU could hold its own in the SEC. I got to thinking about the epic home and home night game series potential between LSU and WVU, if y'all get in. It would be incredible-intense stuff.
