If it is true FSU is meeting to discuss expansion options maybe they are not as sold on the ACC as some think. My question, is FSU a big enough pick up for the SEC that the SEC would help with the 20 million buyout?

Seems FSU is more of a football school than a basketball school and it looks like the ACC stayed in the interest of basketball for their expansion more than football.

Did this make FSU more an option now?

I think that the ACC expansion means that the ACC continues to be part of the BCS/playoff picture and given the teams that they added, it would be crazy for FSU to trade what is likely the easiest path to a championship for the hardest path. Unless maybe they got so much more money that championships no longer mattered. But I don't think that would be the case, especially with the buyout clause. I think that FSU must like the way that things panned out for them.

A logical swap, both geographically and sportwise, would be Kentucky for Florida State.
