I recently acquired a parking pass for lot k and I was wondering if there is enough room for parking and a small tent. I have never tailgated in this area and I am unfamiliar with the layout. Any info is greatly appreciated.

For a tent, you'll want to find a patch of land.
If someone else is in a nearby patch without a tent, team-up.

generally, the reserved lots entitle you to a parking space and nothing more. Most of the lots have space to set up around the edges, but you have to get there pretty early and it may not be adjacent to your vehicle. I wouldn't make elaborate plans the first time you go until you've scouted the situation.

Lot is NEVER completely full, so you can put up a tent, problem being, it's all parking lot, no grass. It's where I park.

Looking at google earth I see grass around the edges and little "islands" scattered through the parking lot. Do they tend to fill up quick?

Port o lets are on the "islands" and there is grass on the edges and you can park there, no problem. When we get there, around, 2:30 pm of so, never more than half full, and we always stay till the end, so no idea really how full it gets.
