your simple retort of "False" implies a probability they (NCAA) may not grant him a RS and , THAT, is false.
You have 5 years to play 4. There is nothing to ask. That is a given. If he had played a down, then yes, he would have to request a RS.

...it is a formality to file paper work with the NCAA......that is the "asking" part of it. I know. I was RS.
