how pissed will the fan base be if he starts over Mettenberger?

The only thing I could see is Mettenberger as the starter with Jefferson as a change of pace similar to Perriloux.

Without being a fortune teller that can predict the future, I am still gonna jump out there and say, " that aint gonna happen".... No way CLM allows anything to disrupt the flow the Tigers are in right now, and as far as next season, Mett will be to experienced in the O... JJ never had a chance at beating Mett out on talent..(i am not hating on anyone, just facts)

Would they even let him redshirt? I can understand if he got hurt before the season started, but with his issues, I dont think it could happen.

Yes, topic is old.

My $0.02:
Jefferson pleads to misdemeanor battery. Les, unable to justify casting aside one batterer in favor of another, welcomes JJ back with open arms. After all, Miles needs quality depth at the position.

Mett + JJ will lead the two-headed "battering ram" offense of 2012. They'll kick in skulls just to grope that trophy in January.

I think he gets reinstated at some point this season but still doesn't start.

Assuming Mettenberger develops to the potential he has shown, this is an excellent plan, furhter developing an offense to take advantage of the Rivers/Randall combo coming up behind them. A great way to maintain QB recruiting - great pro-style//great dual-threat, alternating every year - up to 5 QBs on campus, with 1 or 2 redshirting and 1 graduating every year. Even with the occasional miss in recruiting, you still have sufficient depth and flexibility to run whatever offense is working.

Obviously not serious.
Mett is a QB and a damn good one. JJ is an athelete pretending to be a QB. Sorta like Kordell Stewart.
I hope that Lee plays very well and can hold his position. By year end Mett will be overwhelming for both Lee or JJ.

Lee has skills to be great if he can shake the ghosts in the closet loose.

Then he would just have to be set up again. Wasn't so hard the first time

I hope someone drops the anchor on this thread.

Let me guess, you are one of the HS kids that works as a runner in Unglesby's office aren't you?

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

Jefferson shouldn't redshirt unless he can play tight end or cover kicks.

We don't need him or his 'leadership' at the QB position, and if I had my druthers, we wouldn't have to worry about him coming back on the team period.

And we seem to be just fine at QB without him.

EXTREMELY pissed after seeing how good Mett looked. Plus Mett only has two years left after this one.
