For a player who once wanted to be run out of town, to a player who is our starting QB and being defended for not getting pulled for Mett.

How much difference does a couple years make. A couple of years ago, people wanted to stone him to death, and now there is no way Mett can be better than him.

Can't we just all agree our QB situation is in such better shape than last year no matter who will be starting that we should be able to kick everyone's arse this year.

I'm just happy to be a tiger fan during what will be one of the best seasons ever.
I will let all of the nimrods argue endlessly on the internet about what qb they think should be playing.
I will just enjoy the game.

definitely a great time to be a tiger fan. I enjoyed getting to see both of our QBs last night and seeing them both perform gave me a lot of confidence about the rest of the season.

Well the reason for the change of perception is the 2 years of development. If he was the qb we saw in 2008, the perception would be the same.

this kind of statement drives me crazy.

He may in fact be better, now, or in due time. Hell Rivers may be better than all of em.

The issue is not defense of Lee, Miles, JJ, or any other LSU player, program, or coach. Most people "defending" seem to understand that just because Mett made some great throws and looked good it is just the first step in a process.

Does all evidence so far point to Mett being really talented, yes. Look at the stat line, JLee beat him in EVERY category last nite. Damn, I am just really glad Mett looked good, we will need him this year..not in cleanup against an overmatched team, but against Bama or Arkansas.

I am very happy for him. He's endured a whole lot. I think, and have always thought, that he is a good person. I like him. But, as a player, I want someone who will manage the game, and NOT make the big mistake. And, through these first two games, I could NOT be happier.

To Jarrett Lee.

Lee took a hit in the NW St. game.

I would rather he had taken a penalty for grounding, and not got an ankle injury.

i have never seen a QB at this level with such bad mechanics: he bails out even when there isnt a defender near by.

That being said, his throws, despite the ugly motion, were spot on. Gotta wonder how long before it comes back to haunt him. Ive seen him step in to the throw and deliver it on a rope. not sure why he cant do that all the time.

The deer in the headlights sack he took was just awful pocket awareness.
