Did anyone else hear this discussio on 790? I normally don't listen to 790 but since Lance Z went there, I have been listening. Based off who he talked to, he is convinced that JJ has nothing to do with the kicking incident and he is covering for someone....Before the rant goes crazy, this guy is one of the most respected sport radio guys in the city. There has always been a low undercurrent of conversation on this "conspiracy", but I found it strange for him to feel comfortable enough to put this out on the airwaves because of who he is and what he represents.......on a side note, if you wanna gets some great laughs, google "SEC guy"....he is the guy who does this character.

I've heard the same exact story from people who were present at the fight.

It would make sense for the starting QB to cover for someone and completely frick up his senior year.

That just does not seem plausible.

"IF", IF that is true, he is even more stupid than I thought. Each one of us is responsible for our own actions.. and IF this is true, what does it say about the person for whom he is covering that allows him to take the fall?

I doubt if JJ is covering for anyone. The pressure on the individual he's protecting would be enormous and its highly likely a more public awareness of the situation would have come forth by now.

It doesn't have the ring of truth to it.

That makes no sense. JJ is much more important to the team than Spencer Ware is. He wsa the starting QB with 2 years of experience.

This makes no sense.

Plus, there would be alternating views. People would say that it wasn't JJ. JJ hasn't admitted to anything - he is pleading not guilty. So, he isn't taking the fall.

No way the police got it this wrong if there were witnesses at the fight who say it wasn't JJ. Why won't they come forward?

If there are witnesses who saw something else, are they cowards? Are they obstructing justice?

This is just stupid.

I could understand a witness misidentifying somebody. Sure, we all know Jefferson's face, but not everyone in Baton Rouge posts on TigerDroppings (more's the shame) or knows what Jefferson looks like.

I could understand a football player covering for a teammate. They are on the same team. They hold the rope for each other.

I just can't understand how Miles and his teammates would let Jefferson cover for somebody else. It's a criminal investigation. You don't mess with a criminal investigation. Miles is too wise to let Jefferson cover for somebody else.

I agree with this.

Because this is true.

My first thought was that it didn't seem plausible, but after listening to LZ for 8 years, it's hard to dismiss him.
